How to Make Nectar in Sims 3

Nectar is made by combining fruits within a nectar making machine. You will need a nectar maker, which you can purchase by traveling to Champs Le Sims in France. If you plan on making this a career for your sim, purchasing at least two or three is helpful to create nectar continuously. The sim must add ten pieces of fruit into the nectar maker to form one of the Sims 3 nectar recipes. Once added, the sim will need to squish the fruit with their feet to get juice from it. You must then choose which type of nectar you want to make before it is bottled. Nectar bottles will need to be stored within racks in a basement to age them properly. Aging nectar will allow you to make the greatest amount of money per batch. Nectar will increase in value each day that it is stored.
Useful Traits for Making Nectar
There are multiple traits that will benefit sims to have if they want to produce nectar efficiently. These traits will allow for the sim to excel at gardening and produce perfect quality fruit quickly, as well as repair and upgrade the nectar machine.
Green Thumb
The key to making amazing nectar is to have high-quality ingredients. The best way to do this is to make a garden for your sim. The sim will be more efficient at gardening if they possess the Green Thumb trait since they learn the skill of gardening at a faster rate and grow higher quality produce. This comes in very handy while you are trying to grow perfect-quality fruits for the best nectar.
Gatherer
The Gatherer trait allows your sim to plant higher-quality plants while gardening. This is an excellent trait to pair with Green Thumb to give your sim a significant boost to their gardening abilities. You will have a much easier time making your perfect garden to supply your nectar-making with these two traits.
Loves the Outdoors
A garden full of perfect-quality fruits is essential to an amazing batch of nectar. This requires a lot of time spent outdoors while gardening. If a sim has this trait, they will thoroughly enjoy their time outside and get a +20 positive moodlet. Additionally, these sims tend to be better gardeners as well.
Handiness
Having a sim with the handiness skill as part of your active household is very useful. Not only will they be able to quickly repair a broken nectar machine, they will be able to upgrade it as well. Sims with this trait will have the option to upgrade a nectar machine in one of three ways: Improved Pressing, Unbreakable, and Enhanced Flavor.
Best Upgrade for Nectar Maker

If you have a sim that has points into their handiness skill, they will eventually be able to upgrade the nectar making machine. The options for upgrades are improved pressing, unbreakable, and enhanced flavor. Improved pressing will give you an additional bottle per batch of nectar. Unbreakable will make it so that the machine never breaks down, and therefore, never needs to be repaired. Enhanced flavor increases the value of each bottle. Combining the upgrade of improved pressing with extended nectaration will result in the highest value per batch of nectar made. Below we compare the price per bottle for one of the Sims 3 nectar recipes with each of the different upgrades:

Sim Moodlets from Consuming Nectar

Sims will react to life fruits, plasma fruits, and flame fruits, which are included in the highest-value recipes. The life fruit will give your sim the moodlet of “Full of Life” and will extend their lifespan. The flame fruit will give your sim the positive moodlet of “Warm Fuzzies” that will last for 5 hours. The plasma fruit is enjoyed by vampires only, so if a human sim consumes it they will get the negative moodlet of “Nauseous” and tend to vomit.
