Unlucky is one of the best Sims 3 traits that offers unique benefits that many people don’t know about. With this trait, you will not be able to die in any other way besides old age. This is an underrated perk if you’ve ever had your sim die in a freak accident. The grim reaper will come but choose to not take you. Due to this, if you have the supernatural expansion installed and you take an age-freeze potion, the sim will become immortal. However, these sims are more likely to have bad things happen to them in their lives, such as fires, objects breaking, or burglaries. This trait will definitely lead to some rare and unfortunate events that will spice up your experience, all without the risk of your sim dying in one of them.

Neurotic

Neurotic sims provide a realistic and relatable type of gameplay, as they will be easily stressed out by small things in their everyday life. You will be able to have your sim “Freak Out” randomly, which will allow them to feel calm and tranquil afterward. Similarly, sims will be able to share their concern with others around them to feel better. Sims will randomly get anxious about random objects around the area and you can have them check on that object to make them feel at ease. These sims will get stressed more easily from work, however, having a freak out before stressful activities will make them feel calm and will allow them to feel good for a long time. Freaking out also fills up the fun bar to full, so this can be a big perk of the trait that can greatly help a sim in many ways.

Childish

Sims 3 Childish Trait- Fishing in Pool

The childish trait can add some additional fun and playfulness to your game. These sims behave like a child in many ways. They will enjoy playing with toys, want to always have fun, and get bored easily. One of the biggest perks of this trait is that you are able to easily make many friendships at once by starting a game of tag. Having one person in your household with this trait can allow for a game to begin, which allows for everyone involved to build friendships quickly, and easily, and have fun.

Additionally, a sim with this trait will be able to learn skills from children’s books and even get a perk when writing them. This trait does conflict with the dislikes children trait, so you can’t have them both on one sim. This trait can be cute and entertaining in many ways, as your sim can get a cuddle time moodlet when sleeping with a teddy bear in their inventory or even fish out of pools!

Insane

The insane trait is one that will keep you continually on your toes, as you will never truly know what to expect. These sims are unpredictable in many facets of their lives. This allows for very fun and amusing gameplay that won’t get boring easily. Your sim will pick a random outfit to wear every time they change their clothes. Your sim may also swipe objects without you even telling them to between 7 pm and 6 am when they are alone. These sims will have the option of returning stolen objects, which benefits them with a positive moodlet. This trait brings a lot of useful perks into the game like being able to work from home. Additionally, you will be less stressed than normal when working or attending school. This leads to the sim being able to acquire promotions more easily from work since their promotion bar will rise while working from home. This will also allow you to make a lot more side money if you choose to. Similarly, children who are workaholics will complete homework significantly faster as well, leading to better grades.

Unstable

Sims 3 Unstable Panic Attack

The unstable trait is easily a top choice for the best Sims 3 traits to play because it puts a realistic spin on the game. Sims with this trait have a chance of waking up feeling out of sorts, which is relatable for many people. These sims may talk to themselves while they aren’t feeling well.

One really unique aspect of this trait is that when your sim is feeling out of sorts, you can have them take deep breaths to calm themselves down or even seek treatment at the hospital. Otherwise, your sim’s mental state will progress to an impending episode, which will eventually lead to a delusional state. During a delusional episode, your sim can experience instability in their personality. This leads to their traits being altered (except for the unstable trait) by new delusional traits. This must be treated by taking the sim to the hospital, otherwise the new traits will become permanent once this state is finished. Therefore, this trait can be used to change up your gameplay without having to create a new sim.

A mean-spirited sim will enjoy a good fight every now and then, which can keep your game spiced up. These characters will enjoy having enemies and the more the merrier. Your mean-spirited sim will get a positive moodlet when they are near their enemies. Presumably, they sense tension in the area and thrive off it. To add to the entertainment, the sim will get a boost when writing in the humor genre and will be able to troll other sims on forums. The interactions that you witness while using the mean-spirited trait are unique and very amusing. Fulfilling the wishes that a mean-spirited sim wants can provide a very different style of gameplay. You will get to experience more of the drama that the game allows during this sim’s life.

Inappropriate

An inappropriate kiss

Inappropriate is one of the best Sims 3 traits for a chaotic and goofy personality to put on a sim. Sims with this trait will do a lot of rude actions, such as insulting or making fun of other sims. While visiting another sim’s house they might even sleep in that sim’s bed and eat out of their fridge. They will be willing to do a lot of social actions that are uncalled for at the moment. Actions such as proposing or trying to kiss another sim that they don’t know well enough. These sims will even give themselves sponge bathes in a sink, giving their random actions even more hilarity. If you want to give your sim a challenging and unique personality, being inappropriate is an excellent option. However, do not expect the gameplay of this sim to be ordinary!

Over-Emotional

The over-emotional trait is one that will make your sims feel emotion more intensely than others do. The sims will react to positive and negative things with a +25% moodlet, making each mood be more extreme for them. This can be a very helpful trait if you are good at managing your sim’s moods. This is because, with a little skill, it is easier to keep these sims in an even more positive mood than normal. Good things occurring to these characters will be even better for them since they will be more emotional to experiences. However, negative emotions have an equally dramatic impact. You may even witness your sim crying about random things or expressing emotion toward the misfortunes of other sims. Play with this Sims 3 trait and give yourself a challenging and realistic gameplay experience.
