Fireplace

If you have placed a fireplace in your sim’s home before, you probably know that this is a common cause of house fires. This can even become annoying if you don’t want a fire to start. If you start a sim fireplace and leave it running, it will eventually cause a fire if given enough time. If you place flammable items near the fireplace, you will be even more likely to ignite a blaze.

Eating Spicy Food or Magic Jelly Bean

Sims will find spicy foods to be extremely hot to the point that smoke comes out of their ears and fire comes out of their mouth. To find magic jelly beans, you will need to have the Supernatural expansion added to your game and look for a jelly bean bush. You can head on over to the elixir consignment store for easy access to a grown jelly bean bush.

Fire Blast Spell

If you have a sim that is a witch, you will have access to the fire blast spell. You will need to purchase a wand for your sim to use in their inventory. Leveling up their magic skill to level 2 is essential to unlock this type of spell. You can gain levels by practicing the magic skill in your spare time. To do this, click on your sim and select “Practice Magic”. The fire blast spell will cause an immediate blast of fire to come out of your sim’s wand that will begin a fire. This is a great option to set any location ablaze quickly and cause panic.

Stomping on Pumpkins

There is a 25% chance of your sim catching fire when your sim stomps on carved and lit pumpkins. To carve a pumpkin, you must either buy a pumpkin or grow your own. Once the pumpkin is in your sim’s inventory, click on it and select “Carve Jack-o-lantern”. Next, tell the sim to stomp on the carved pumpkin. You will either make a mess destroying your Halloween decoration or you will set the sim on fire!
