Feeding a ghost ambrosia is the way that people most often use to bring back sims that have died. To do this, you will need to acquire a meal of ambrosia. One of your sims will need to have maxed their cooking skill level. Then pay a visit to the bookstore and buy the ambrosia recipe. The ambrosia recipe is pretty expensive and will cost you $12,000. Once you learn the recipe, you will need to find a death fish and a life fruit in order to cook the recipe.
Finding a Death Fish
To find the death fish, you will need to be at least a level 10 angler. The optimum bait to catch a death fish is an angelfish, so you will need to catch some of these fish first. Angelfish can be found in the ocean or in lakes, so be sure to inspect the lake to know what types of fish are present in it. The lake in the park of Sunset Valley is a good place to look for angelfish. In order to catch angelfish, you should use alley catfish as bait. The best way to find life fruit seeds is by going around town and collecting seeds found on the ground. Be sure to check the cemetery, which tends to have special seeds nearby. You will be able to tell if a plant is a life fruit plant once it starts growing because it tends to look wilted. Once you have a life fruit, you will be set to make your recipe.
Once you have made the ambrosia, you will need to get a ghost to consume it. Place the plate of ambrosia down near a ghost. If you are trying to resurrect a pet, select the plate and use the ‘feed to pet’ option. Your sim will place the plate on the floor for the pet to eat. A human sim ghost has a chance to pick the dish up and consume the food on their own but there is no way to make them. Once consumed, the ghost sim will get resurrected.

Getting the science laboratory to revive your sim or pet is not a surefire option. You will have a percentage chance that you will get a call if the ghost was part of your household. You may get the call the next day, weeks later, or never. If you do get the call, take the urn of the ghost to the science laboratory to be resurrected.
Death Flower
