What are the Unturned Germany Best Base Locations?
The Unturned Germany best base locations are Schwarzwald Military Base, the Aerospace Defense Complex, Ostsee Compound, Limestone Quarry, and Rappbode Dam. All five of these locations are located on the North and West borders of the map. These sections of the map offer the largest abundance of higher-tier gear and vehicles. Around one of these locations, simply find a mountaintop to perch a base on or a deep valley to lay low in. You’ll, without a doubt, be happy with your new home base!
Schwarzwald Military Base
Normally, a location like Schwarzwald Military Base can be hard to live near without it feeling like you’re in a warzone 24/7. The huge abundance of all the best loot in the game attracts a lot of players. They will be looking to loot the base themselves. Others will be looking to steal what you have already found.
Luckily, the area around the base has a lot of high ground and mountains to hide your base in. With your base nearby, you can then easily operate in the area. There are tons of high-tier weapons, armor, and vehicles available at the base. You will find yourself ready for all the fights this high-traffic area will bring your way. It is also located just down the road from Berlin. Trips can be made there for most of the odds and ends you won’t find at the base itself. Claim your piece of the best real estate on the map!
Aerospace Defense Complex
The Aerospace Defense Complex is a close second on the list of Unturned Germany Best Base Locations. Featuring some of the highest mountains in the game to claim as king of the hill, it is perfect for mountaintop lairs. The defense complex has plenty of high-tier military spawns and a lot of random smaller spawns to provide you with most of the basic necessities. This will leave with you very little that will need to be sourced elsewhere. The hanger can even spawn a jet fighter plane!
At the aerospace complex, you will find a lot of players lurking in the area, but since you have the high ground, odds are you will spot them before they spot you. The superior vision will allow you to ambush them or avoid them altogether. Berlin and Schwarzwald are right nearby for additional loot runs. Finally, if you are looking to build a large metal base you can always go down the road to the quarry and gather metal from all the metal nodes located there.
Ostsee Compound
Do you want to live in a quieter area of the map that still has plenty of military gear? Look no further than Ostsee Compound! This little oasis in the northeast corner of the map has a variety of good loot in a nice remote area bordered by the river. Most players will focus on the military base and aerospace complex leaving you a little safer at Ostsee. You will find plenty of military gear and vehicles as well as the occasional mega zombie. There is even a mechanic spawn area to get everything you will need for your vehicles. Making trips to the quarry to gather tons of metal is a great way to construct a base to secure your loot. For those who enjoy shooting zombies a little more than players, give Ostsee a chance for your next base location.
Limestone Quarry
Limestone Quarry is a base builder’s paradise. There are more metal nodes in one location than anywhere else on the classic Unturned maps. Loot yourself a jackhammer and build yourself an impenetrable fortress of steel. While the metal nodes are the main reason this is one of the Unturned Germany best base locations, its proximity to other high-tier loot locations can’t be overlooked. With the Aerospace Defense Complex and military base down the road to the East and Ostsee Compound to the West, military gear will be easy to source. Berlin is also located just south for anything else you might need. It is conveniently located right in the middle of all the best locations. So, set up here and construct whatever your imagination can dream up with all that metal!
Rappbode Dam
This location is the perfect new player location for those looking to be able to get some decent gear and keep their head down. Most of the experienced players will spend most of their time on the Northern half of the map. This makes Rappbode Dam, in the southwest corner, perfect if you are looking to not get shot while you get a base established. The dam itself has a decent amount of military spawns and even a mega zombie you can try to kill for more good loot. Berlin and Mawby’s Farm are not too far away for anything else you might need. Once you’ve got your base established and you’re feeling confident, you can set out north to Schwarzwald Military Base to try and loot there. If and when you do, be on the lookout for other players!
